The strength of design studio Studio des Bouvrie is the ability to create a unique living environment that is tailored to personal living requirements. We never use a fixed recipe: your own, unique identity and taste are key to our design proposals.

Our design process in detail

1. Introductory meeting with design studio

You are most welcome in our design studio in ‘Het Arsenaal’ in Naarden. This is the place to familiarize yourself with the way we work and experience the carefully composed interiors for yourself. During the first meeting, one of our interior designers would like to get to know you better.

Making an appointment is recommended yet not necessary. If preferred, we can also schedule an online meeting.

After a successful and inspiring meeting, you will receive a (cost) proposal within the agreed term, on how a further follow up could look like. The introductory meeting is free of charge.

2. Intake interview with design studio and sales

If our working method appeals to you and you agree with our fee proposal, we will meet for an intake interview. In the design studio, which has an impressive number of material samples, we can show you our reference projects. We will clarify your current living situation, personality, lifestyle, taste and design wishes. Together we draw up a program of requirements and budget. Personal advice and total design will be based on this.

3. Site visit (interior) architect and sales

Prior to our first design proposals, we schedule a visit. Being physically present on your building plot or interior helps us during the design process.

In the case of an existing home, the interior architect will check the available floor plans to indicate possible modifications made over time. We will also register the surroundings and incidence of light.

4. Presentation design proposal

You will not be able to wait for this appointment where we will surprise you with our first design proposal! With hand-drawn floor plans with fixed elements, (built-in) cabinets, a lighting plan, furniture, mood boards and a selection of materials, you can see and feel what we have in mind. By working together with various professionals for many years, we can propose a realistic total design, including -among other things- custom-made furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, fire solutions, wall coverings, doors and floors.

5. Discuss client feedback

We are very curious what you think of our proposal. Based on your feedback, the sketch design will be developed further. For some projects, especially architectural, we turn our hand drawings into a three-dimensional model. Are you entering your new home in the virtual environment already?

6. Final design and cost inventory

Once the final design has been approved, we provide a cost inventory in partnership with all suppliers.

7. Start construction work or start makeover

The time has come! The final design becomes reality! Together with our network of specialists, we take care of all permits, all architectural elaborations and documents that are necessary to manage all parties involved.

Studio des Bouvrie is periodically present at the construction site for aesthetic construction supervision. This ensures that the final result and details are of the highest level. Upon completion, all parties involved will be very proud: a unique home executed to perfection is a fact!

8. Turnkey delivery

Your new home or interior makeover is ready for use. Depending on the agreements made, in addition to furnishing, we also provide bedding, a stocked refrigerator and fresh flowers to make the arrival in your new (second) home a great success.
